KTM superbike flash tune service and custom remaps

Stage 1

Tuned Fuel Map & Igniton Map, Improved mid-range torque, Fan & Thermostat Temperature Lowered.

       The Stage I Flash Tune/Remap is primarily for those riders looking for improved mid-range torque, better low speed performance and rideability. Fan and thermostat opening temperatures can also be lowered thereby reducing the overheating issues faced by most SBKs when ridden in congested urban traffic. Basic Fueling corrections are carried out to improve low speed rideability. This is flash is tailored for those riders looking for improved performance and street riding behaviour whilst keeping the motorcycle hardware absolutely stock. We can accommodate requests to flash/remap bikes with slip on exhaust systems and/or aftermarket air filters.

       Turnaround time for this flash is 2 business day. Only the ECU can be sent in, motorcycle not necessary. Logistics and Installation Not Included.

Stage 2

Includes all features from Stage 1, Fuel Map & Ignition Map Tuned For After Market Air Filter & Exhaust System

       The Stage II Flash Tune/Remap from Mantra Racing improves upon everything from Stage I with precise fueling and ignition mapping corrections. The fuel and ignition tables for each individual gear, based on Throttle Position and Manifold Air Pressures are modified to maximise performance. Fuel trims are optimised to suit modifications like racing air filters and full exhaust system upgrades. Each riding mode can be individually programmed and riding modes can also be unified upon request. Timing Retard can be eliminated and top speed limiter can also be removed on factory restricted bikes. Rev-limit is untouched and remains as standard for improved reliability although it can be increased upon request from the client.

       Ignition dwell timings are modified and original Oxygen sensor is disabled. EGR/PAIR table can be tweaked or disabled without triggering the engine Check-light. On bikes with EXUP or SES valves, the opening and closing timing of these valves can be modified for increased performance and a better sounding exhaust. This Stage II Flash Tune eliminates the need for a Power Commander/Bazzaz or other piggyback Fuel/ignition correction modules. The Stage II Flash Tune from Mantra Racing offers much superior performance and crisp throttle response without the hassle of adding a wiring loom and other installation related modifications. The Stage II Flash Tune/Remap is best coupled with a Full System Exhaust and a Racing Air filter.

       Turnaround time for this flash is 3 business days. Motorcycle needs to sent over to our premises. Rider has to be present for road testing the motorcycle. Logistics Not Included.

Stage 3

Includes all features from Stage 1 & Stage 2, All ECU Maps Tuned For High Performance Street Riding, Circuit, Drag Racing, Programmable Quickshifter, Programmable Launch Control, Auto-Blipper Activation and Auto-Rev

       The Stage III Flash Tune is the ultimate in performance tuning for your SBK. Includes everything from Stage I and Stage II with addition of a Fully Programmable Quick-shifter, allowing for full throttle clutch-less upshifts. On certain motorcycles clutch-less downshifts are also possible. The quick shifter can be programmed as per an individual rider’s style and requirement for gears 1 to 6.
The Quick-shifter can be customised for activation pressures and shift duration across the Rpm range for each gear, thereby giving the rider precise control and optimum feel.

       The Stage III Flash Tune also includes on some motorcycles a Fully Programmable Launch Control. The Launch control feature can be setup as either a 2 Step or a Single Step. The best part about the Launch Control that is included in the Stage III Flash Tune is that there is absolutely NO addition or modification of any hardware on the motorcycle unlike other launch control modules sold as aftermarket option. Launch Control is simply activated by holding the clutch for a set time with the motorcycle stationary. The activation time and Launch Rpm is customisable as per the rider’s requirement. It can be programmed for each individual rider, tire type and racing application. Launch control parameters can be programmed with variable assist for 1st and 2nd gears. On our multiple Championship Winning Drag Bikes we have Launch Control Assist all the way through the end of the quarter mile working together with our custom Traction control and Anti-wheelie programming.

       In addition, we can include a speed limiter function useful for circuit racing bikes when they are ridden through the pits.Traction control maps can be programmed based on the inputs from the rider for a particular application such drag racing, circuit racing or rallying. We also include Race Warm up feature and  Auto-blipper Coupled with Clutch-less Downshifting capabilities on certain motorcycles.

       Riding modes, Traction Control, PAIR/EGR, STS, TOS, EXUP and ABS can be disabled for Race bikes. RAM air compensation can also be adjusted along with a whole host of other maps allowing complete tuning of the motorcycle. Fuel and Ignition maps are custom developed and are made specific to each Bike, Rider and modifications carried out.

       Even highly tuned engines modified with racing internals can be tuned without the need of a piggy back system such Power Commander or Bazzaz. The Stage III Flash Tune unlocks the full potential of the motorcycle for racing applications be it drag racing, circuit racing or rallying.
 
       If you are spending money on the flash, do it with right combination of hardware and associated modifications for maximum performance gains. Please call ahead before purchasing your exhaust system and we can give you suggestions for best one most suited for your specific application. We have dyno/track tested exhaust systems from leading brands and have built up an extensive database for the most popular SBKs. For example, we have seen gains in peak power in the range on 22Hp to 28 Hp after tuning, on the 2016 BMW S1000RR running either a Termignoni / Brocks Sidewinder system. As opposed to 18 Hp gains seen when using other Exhausts such as Jardine, Racefit, SC Project, Yoshimura, MIVV etc. On older generation motorcycles such as the 2008 R1, we have seen gains of 23Hp with a Graves Carbon-Race full system, BMC Air filter and Stage III Flash.                     
 
       Turnaround time for this flash is 2 to 5 business days. The motorcycle will be ready to ride in 2 business days. Fine tuning of the fuel & ignition mapping, traction control assist programming and RAM Air compensation will be carried over the next 2 days either at test track or at a place of the rider’s choosing. Please note test track hire charges, logistics for bike, mechanics and tuner are not included in the charges. These expenses are extra and will be charged at actuals. ** Please note, on certain motorcycles tuning beyond Stage 1 is not possible because of inherent design and performance limitations. Features such as Programmable Qucikshifter, Launch Control and Auto-Blipper are possible on compatible motorcycles only. Custom tuning for different modifications and(or) exhaust systems are possible. Custom tuning charges apply. Motorcycles previously tuned by us to Stage 1, can be upgraded to Stage 2 or Stage 3, and the client is required to only pay the differnece amount depending on the tuning requirements.
